We took the drive into town not long after setting our camper up, and were stunned at how picturesque, different and inviting the town was.

Cooper Creek Recreation Area - Campground and General Information : This campground is located along the banks of Cooper Creek in the North GA mountains. Fun activites, including camping, hiking, trout fishing, and hunting. Anglers may fish Cooper Creek and nearby Mulky Creek seasonal trout streams for wild and stocked trout.

Coopers Creek is a great area for weekend trips. This is a fun trail convenient to the campsites.. This is a fun trail that runs up the and down the sides of Yellow Mountain. I started at Cooper's Creek Campground and hiked 2.7 miles to Bryant Creek where there is a postage stamp small campsite.

Cooper's Creek Wildlife Management Area is one of Georgia's larger wildlife management areas. It spans more than 30,000 acres, and lies within the Chattahoochee National Forest. This WMA is located in the extreme northeast corner of Georgia and nearly borders North Carolina.

Reservations for Mulky Campground are made under the Cooper Creek Campground the Mulky Loop, sites 1-11. Reservations can be made through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS). Coopers Creek and Rock Creek are within ten minutes of Deep Hole Recreation Area, which offers visitors more areas to trout fish and more camping opportunities in beautiful North Georgia. Deep Hole is the beginning of the Toccoa River and is a Nationally Designated River Trail.

Cooper Creek Recreation Area Campground has 25 campsites and is located on the banks of Cooper Creek in the North Georgia Mountains. A few sites are right next to the creek and campsite #24 is a group site. Some sites are tent only. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 35 feet).
