The early morning was cold and wet. It was the type of weather where anyone would rather stay in bed than walk around Canberra's second most famous lake. But I had made a promise to myself, that I would walk the whole lake Ginninderra circuit. I would normally walk part way around it, get tired or my headphones would die and I'd walk back.

Ginninderra Lake Foreshore Walk is a great kid-friendly walk near the shores of Lake Ginninderra Lake. The trailhead can be accessed via Macdermott Place. There is plenty of parking here although it can get quite busy on weekends. Additional parking can be found on Beissel Street. Sit on one of the many benches in the park and watch the swans and ducks as they enjoy the lake. The park has lots.
